Claude Code review for Mac apps

Asking Claude Code to "review my app" gets you a chat reply. Quality.Noted turns your own Claude Code into a structured review of your Mac app's source code: the same phased checks every time, a readiness score out of 100, findings ranked worst first, and one prompt to fix them.

Why not just ask Claude Code?

You can, and it will find things. But a one-off prompt is hard to repeat, hard to compare, and easy to lose. Quality.Noted adds the structure around the review.

What the review covers

  1. Build and tests. Standard and Thorough audits build your app from scratch and run your Swift package tests before Claude starts.
  2. Static audit. Reads the code for bugs, crashes, security and App Store risks.
  3. Functional QA. Checks how features behave: flows, edge cases, accessibility and error handling.
  4. Release checks. Readiness for where you're shipping, which sets the readiness score.
  5. Manual checklist and Tester Walkthrough. A step-by-step test plan for what only a person can judge.

Your code stays under your account

The review runs on your own Claude Code, signed in to your own Claude subscription or API key. Quality.Noted never sends your project anywhere. Claude Code reads it and sends it to Anthropic under your account, exactly as when you use Claude Code yourself. Results stay in your project's QualityNoted-QA folder.

Questions

Does it replace a human code review?

No. An audit finds defects; it can't prove there are none. Use it to catch problems before a person reviews or tests the app, and use the Tester Walkthrough for what only a person can judge.

Does it change my code?

The audit is instructed to write only to the QualityNoted-QA folder. It runs Claude Code as you, without permission prompts, so commit before you audit. Fixes happen only when you paste the action items into your own Claude Code session.

What if my app wasn't built with Claude Code?

Quality.Noted can give you prompt files to paste into ChatGPT Codex, Gemini, Cursor or any assistant, or use for a hand-coded app.

What do I need?

macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Apple silicon, Claude Code signed in, and a Claude subscription or Anthropic API key. Standard and Thorough audits also need a project that builds with your own Swift or Xcode toolchain.
